Robert Plant & Alison Krauss + More, Album Previews

Tuesday, October 30, 2007 By Tom Osborne

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, ‘Raising Sand’ (Full CD)

album cover Ever since Robert Plant formed the Honeydrippers and sang the cover “Sea of Love”, I’ve forgiven him for ever being anything but Led Zeppelin. Now with the help of T-Bone Burnett, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have teamed up to produce the best collaboration since last year’s duet by Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris. Though the timing of this album being released just before the holiday season seems a little suspect (its got Burnett written all over it), you kinda have to forgive them for this match made in heaven. File under: Rock / Pop / Bluegrass

Worth Mention

  • Various Artists, ‘I’m Not There: Bob Dylan’
  • Nicole Atkins, ‘Neptune City’ (Full CD)
