Erinn Peet Lukes Video Premiere – Small Town Hero

Wednesday, September 23, 2020 By Shawn Underwood

I was fortunate enough to come across Erinn Peet Lukes when she came out with her first EP a couple of years ago. Since then I learned she’d been with a band for several years and they gained some notoriety with a cover of a Guns ‘n’ Roses hit. Last year they put out an album that pushed their musical boundaries. The pandemic alters how we think about things though. For Lukes that has returned her to a solo artist path.

That choice reflects, to some extent, the storyline of my favorite Lukes song, Small Town Hero. It’s a country ballad about being comfortable with your lot in life. More importantly, about knowing that’s what makes you happy. Twangville is pleased to announce Lukes is re-debuting her solo career with a video for Small Town Hero and we have the honor of premiering it here.

About the author:  I've actually driven from Tehatchapee to Tonopah. And I've seen Dallas from a DC-9 at night.
