Patti Smith & More, Album Previews

Monday, April 23, 2007 By Tom Osborne

patti smith album coverPATTI SMITH, Twelve (Sony) I’m not really quite sure what to think of Patti Smith’s eleventh full length album titled, Twelve. On the one hand, its just another long time rocker making an album of other people’s hits. On the other hand, its Patti Smith and she rocks. Regardless, she was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and that makes this album newsworthy. Hopefully, this is just to draw some attention for a soon-to-be-released follow up of original songs. File under: rock.

Worth Mention:

  • ARCTIC MONKEYS, Favourite Worst Nightmare (Domino)
  • MANDO DIAO, Ode to Ochrasy (Mute)

Also Look For:

BILL CALLAHAN, DALE WATSON, DETROIT COBRAS, GOLDEN SMOG, JOHN PRINE & MAC WISEMAN, MATT THE ELECTRICIAN, MAVIS STAPLES, TWO COW GARAGE and more.

See our Release Calendar for more new releases like these.

NOTE: All full album streams courtesy of AOL Music unless otherwise noted. Album streams typically expire shortly after their release.
