Bright Eyes & More, Album Previews

Monday, April 09, 2007 By Tom Osborne

ted leo album coverBright Eyes, Cassadaga (Saddle Creek) Under normal circumstances, Connor Oberst aka Bright Eyes is the kind of guy I want to chaperone to the gym. Aside from his tender heart, his music is generally hit or miss for me. For many others (including one of my all time favorites, Michael Stipe), he is highly revered. Lucky for me the new album brings a twangy approach to many of the songs and is more up my alley than many others I have heard. Its well worth a listen. Definitely check out “Four Winds”. File under: indie, pop.

WORTH MENTION:

  • The Hold Steady, Live at Fingerprints EP
  • Blonde Redhead, 23
  • Grinderman, Grinderman

ALSO LOOK FOR:
Laura Viers, Scott Miller & The Commonwealth, The Lineman and more.

See our Release Calendar for more new releases like these.

NOTE: All full album streams courtesy of AOL Music unless otherwise noted. Album streams typically expire shortly after their release.
