Albert Hammond Jr. + More, Releases 7/8

Albert Hammond, “101″ from previous release ‘Yours to Keep’.

ALBERT HAMMOND JR., Como Te Llama (RCA/RED)

album coverBetter known as the rhythm guitarist of The Strokes, Albert Hammond, Jr. didn’t get nearly enough notice for his stellar 2006 release ‘Yours to Keep’ featuring a slammin’ single called ’101′. Both Hammond and The Strokes have a way of channeling The Kinks in a way that should make even Ray Davies impressed. Here’s to hoping ‘Como Te Llama’ helps to give Hammond some much deserved credit. 1. I’ve listened to a few previews from The Baseball Project, and I’ve liked what I’ve heard. You can definitely tell that it’s a CD for baseball die-hards when there’s songs about Curt Flood and Harvey Haddix.

  2. Count me in for the contest. Looking forward to hearing the new Beck stuff, although I think the best thing he ever did was One Foot In the Grave. Very underrated if you ask me…
