Last Train Home, Looking Back

Here’s a brief follow up from the Last Train Home cd release party at IOTA in Alexandria, VA on February 17, 2007. I don’t have a full review from the Last Train Home show ’cause I was just having too much fun to worry about breaking down the show into a blog post. You’ll have to live with a few photos and a video clip from the last song of the night (if anyone knows the name of this song, please tell me). From what I do recall, they played for a good three hours covering many songs from the new album. Crowd favorites “Louisiana”, “Hendersonville” and “Donut Girl” all saw the light of day (er, night). This was the best show I’ve seen them play though admittedly I’ve only been to a few shows. If you ever get the chance to see Last Train Home in your neighborhood, jump at the chance.

Here’s the video clip. My apologies, due to my camera (or maybe my technical limitations) I was only able to capture the song in 1 minute chunks. For patient folks, you can view all segments from this song one by one.

A couple more photos…

  1. John Says:

The song is an old Bobby Fuller song “Let Her Dance.” LTH has played it more often then not in the shows I’ve seen. There is also a great version of it on the Los Super Seven album “Heard it on the X”.
