Tom Waits & More, Album Previews

Wednesday, November 22, 2006 By Tom Osborne

THIS WEEK’S ELITE:

album coverTom Waits, Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers and Bastards (Disc 1) (Anti)
If the name of the album alone doesn’t sell you, how about 3 discs, 54 songs including 30 new songs and 24 “lost” tracks. Personally, I find it difficult to digest Waits’ songs in large quantities but isolated they expose their brillance. For Waits fans, this is a must have. Check out “Tell It to Me” and “Lie to Me”. folk, roots, americana
Tom Waits, Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers and Bastards (Disc 2) (Anti)
Tom Waits, Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers and Bastards (Disc 3) (Anti)

WORTH MENTION:

Guy Clark, Workbench Songs (Dualtone) [Dualtone]
Brett Dennen, So Much More (Dualtone) [Dualtone]
