Robert Randolph & More, Album Previews

THIS WEEK’S ELITE:
album coverRobert Randolph & The Family Band, Colorblind (Warner Brothers)
rock, soul
Conceived in love and full of energy, Robert Randolph & The Family Band bring down the house with the help of a few friends (Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews, Leela James). Great album, great band. Start with opening track “Ain’t Nothing Wrong With That”. Also, don’t miss “Thrill of It” and re-make “Jesus is Just Alright (w/Clapton)”. Stay tuned for closer look at this album.

WORTH MENTION:
Sister Hazel, Absolutely (Wandering Hazel Music)

MISSED OPPORTUNITIES (high anticipation, no apparent album stream):
Mindy Smith, Long Island Shores (Vanguard)
Talented singer-songwriter with an amazing voice. Check out her web site and MySpace profile.
