Bruce Robison + More, Releases 9/2

Bruce Robison performing “She Don’t Care” at Scholz Beer Garte, Austin 8-13-08

BRUCE ROBISON, The New World (Premium)
Official Site | MySpace | Samples (Amazon)

album coverThe most disappointing thing about this album is that there are only ten tracks. This is perhaps a countrier version of something Peter Case would put together which makes it top shelf for me. Robison has long been an elite member of the Austin music scene and his connections to country royalty are well known (Kelly Willis, Charile Robison, Emily Robison). ‘The New World’ is yet another great album from Bruce Robison. Forget about the creepy, weird album art and soak up tracks like “The Hammer”, “California 85″, and “Echo”. File under: Country / Folk
