Monday Morning Video – A Holiday Tradition

Monday, December 21, 2020 By Mayer Danzig Leave a Comment

One of these years, I’d love to make it to Dublin for Glen Hansard’s annual Christmas eve busking session on Grafton Street. The event raises funds for The Simon Community, an organization that raises funds and runs programs to assist the homeless.

This year, global pandemic and all, the event became a live broadcast on Ireland’s Late Late Show. Here are two clips from the show – Hansard explaining how the event came to be and then joining Bono, the Edge, and others to sing “Christmas, Baby Please Come Home”.

As a bonus, the third video features highlights from the 2015 busk.
