When was the last time you heard a waltz? And the last time you saw clowns waltzing? I’m guessing that the former is more likely than the latter. Either way, New Orleans’ Ever More Nest has you covered, red noses and all.
The waltz in question is “Mine to Love,” and its subject has few precedents. Sure, there are plenty of songs about exes, but what about a current love’s ex? Ever More Nest opens with the warning: “I never thought of love as the spoils of war / I won fair and square, no need to settle a score.” Then comes the compassion: “Now I understand you feel empty inside / But your heart’ll get a refill if you give it some time.”

Love is a circus and break-ups always bring out the clowns, right? The AllWays Lounge & Cabaret in New Orleans provided the perfect backdrop for this song and subject, and we look forward to celebrating the single there October 18th.
