Plenty has already been written about Dolly Parton, and the stories and praise will continue to flow. All are glorious tributes to an artist whose impact spanned generations and will continue to do so across those that follow.

Here’s one of mine — a night at SXSW in Austin back in 2022, Dolly commanding the room with her stories and songs, and a euphoric moment when she opened her encore with a reprise of “9 to 5,” stepping back and letting me and the rest of the crowd sing our hearts out (at the 46 minute mark).
