Travis McKeveny, a beloved NY musician, died in 2021, leaving behind two albums and a community that loved him as much for his friendship as his music. Just as important, he left behind a collection of songs and a blueprint for a third album he was ready to record. Shortly before the pandemic, Travis assembled the Famous Doctor Scanlon Band to perform and record that new batch of songs. His music family and friends, led by his father, Gerry McKeveny, came together to bring his vision to life. The result, From Dublin to Duluth, arrives October 2nd on Paradiddle Records.

Travis left us with two beautiful albums: Last Years Leaves and October Porches & Second Hand Fears. I believe the songs on From Dublin to Duluth are his masterpiece. We worked on the arrangements prior to his passing and while it was an honor to get this over the finish line for him, I wish he was around to see how it came out. I know he would be proud of this amazing collection of tunes. It was truly a labor of love and I think you can hear that on the record.
Twangville is honored to premiere “Get Into Trouble,” the first single from the album. Featuring lead vocals from Pete Mancini and Cassandra House and a full horn section, it’s a great song full of soulful swagger.
There will be a full album release and a concert celebrating Travis’s life and music on October 3, 2026, at the Boulton Center for the Arts in Bay Shore, NY.
