
In just over a week (June 11th), we’ll gather at Lucinda’s in New York City’s East Village to celebrate the Bottle Rockets — a band that married Midwestern rock with country and folk, blazing a trail that a lot of great artists have been walking ever since.
It’ll come as no shock that we at Twangville have long been fans. And one of the real rewards of putting together a tribute show is the excuse it gives you to go back to the catalog — to sit with the songs and remember exactly why they mattered.
The lineup we’ve assembled reflects the breadth of that influence: peers who were in the trenches alongside the Bottle Rockets, and a newer generation of artists — some carrying the torch, others who simply love the songs. Meet the lineup:
