3000 shows. That’s a hell of a lot of shows — playing a show every night for more than eight years. Impressive enough on its own. But when you factor in the volume and caliber of music Stephen Kellogg has delivered over the course of his career, it becomes something else entirely.
He passed through NYC on Friday — show 2999 — before heading home to Western MA, where it all began, for the big one. I was there on Friday night, and the joy in the room was matched only by the performance. I can only imagine what Saturday night was like.
Congratulations, Stephen, on reaching this milestone. In celebration of the occasion, here’s a recent gem from the Kellogg catalog — the moving ballad “Almost Woke You Up.”
