Twangville Turns 20: Anniversary Shows in Dallas and NYC

Monday, October 13, 2025 By Mayer Danzig

We started Twangville twenty years ago to champion the artists creating songs with craft and conviction—the kind that deserve your attention. This month, we’re marking two decades with three shows that capture everything we’ve been about from day one. Dallas gets two this weekend, New York City gets one on the 24th. Here’s the lineup.

Friday, October 17 – Double Wide, Dallas
We’re kicking off the anniversary weekend with J. Isaiah Evans & the Boss Tweed, who’ve been setting stages on fire since 2023 with their revved-up rock and roll organ trio sound. They’re celebrating their new EP release the same night. Sophie Gault is rolling in with a full band and will rock the house with a preview of songs from her early 2026 release. Plus a surprise guest—a longtime Twangville favorite crashing the party in glorious musical style.

Sunday, October 19 – Twangville Sunday Social, Dallas
This one’s personal. Lydia Loveless and Todd May played our very first Twangville-sponsored concert back in 2012, and they’re coming back to celebrate. Garrett Owen performed at our first Sunday Social house concert in Dallas. Three artists who’ve been part of our story, all in one intimate afternoon show.

Friday, October 24 – Café Wha?, New York City
We’re taking over the legendary Greenwich Village room where Dylan played his first NYC shows. Olivia Ellen Lloyd, William Matheny, and Nathan Xander each bring sharp songwriting and vivid storytelling to a stage that’s seen more than its share of both.
