“We Are, We Are” – A Video Premiere from Willie Nile

Wednesday, June 25, 2025 By Mayer Danzig

Fresh off the release of his latest album, Willie Nile keeps the momentum rolling with the premiere of a new video for “We Are, We Are”—a full-throttle rock anthem that channels his signature mix of grit, heart, and unshakeable optimism.

The song is classic Nile: a defiant, uplifting anthem built for raised fists and open hearts. “We’re climbing mountains way up high, we’re hanging rainbows in the sky, we’re taking back what’s ours—we are, we are,” he sings, delivering a shot of hope with the urgency of a true believer.

Says Nile about the song: “We Are, We Are” is an anthem and battle cry for liberty, freedom, humanity and compassion. It’s a song about reaching out to find the good things that unite us and refusing to give up or give in to the darkness and the things that divide us.

The video shows Nile and his band doing what they love – rocking a stage with the kind of raw, no-frills intensity that’s become their calling card. Mixed with archival photos and live footage, it’s a dynamic snapshot of an artist who’s spent a lifetime turning passion into performance.

Twangville is honored to premiere the video for “We Are, We Are” from Willie Nile’s just released The Great Yellow Light.
