If you’ve ever seen Jesse Malin live, you know what a dynamic performer he is. Bounding around the stage, into the audience, up on the bar – he takes over the room. Which makes his recent health situation all the more tragic. Malin suffered a rare spinal stroke that has left him paralyzed from the waist down.
While Malin does have insurance, a special fund has been established at Sweet Relief Musicians Fund to help with the mounting expenses, not to mention the loss of income as he focuses on rehabilitation and recovery. Learn more and donate here.
Here are two samples of Malin in action. In the first video, he’s joined by Bob Weir for a cover of the Clash’s “Death or Glory”. Then he and his band powering through his “Black Haired Girl” from 2007’s Glitter in the Gutter.
