Billy Bragg is among the artists who released an album in 2021 and is finally able to support it with a tour in 2022. Bragg is about to hit the road through portions of the US and Canada (dates listed below) to showcase songs from The Million Things That Never Happened and, undoubtedly, others from throughout his more than 40 year career.
Bragg is incomparable in his ability to write songs filled with lyrical intelligence and meaning, whether tackling issues political or personal. Here are two examples that span his career. First, “Mid-Century Modern” from the new album and then “A New England” from his 1983 debut Life’s a Riot with Spy Vs. Spy. Listen to the crowd sing along to the latter… it’s a true testament to the power of Bragg’s songwriting.
