Releasing a new single is always an exciting time for an artist. Releasing the debut single from your debut album, however, is truly a special moment. And Parker Twomey’s moment has arrived.
Although he’s only a couple years removed from high school, Twomey is already a seasoned musical veteran. He has spent the past several years touring the world with Paul Cauthen with additional road time spent with Vincent Neil Emerson. It was an intentional decision to take the time to hone his songwriting and craft.
It was time well spent. There’s a wonderful maturity in lead single “I’d Be Your Man” and the rest of his forthcoming album All This Life. The lyrics are thoughtful and reflective; the music warm and enchanting. Despite calling Dallas home, from Dallas, Twomey has infused the songs with an airy Colorado sensibility, one that is made all the richer by intoxicating string arrangements.
Says Twomey about the lead single:
“I’d Be Your Man” is a song that personifies the higher power we all seek as a romantic interest… Because Love and Spirituality go hand and hand, don’t they? Undefinable, never fully obtainable, subjective, and universally felt. They’re life-force energy concepts that give purpose and inspiration. It’s that moment in time where you confess to the one you love, and now all you can do is wait for their reply.
