Curtis Grimes is an interesting guy. Besides being Male Vocalist Of the Year a couple of years ago for the Texas Country Music Association, he models jeans, sells bibles, and acts in national TV commercials. I guess that makes him kind of an all-American kid. A lot of his music reflects that idea of a simpler life. He’s not naive about that, though.
Take his latest single, Still A Little Country Left, from an album due out next year. Amidst the picturesque notions of 4-H fairs and pageant queens, and being able to stop into a diner with a big sweet tea, he notes everything isn’t perfect. “The world ain’t gone all the way to hell…at least not yet.” This is a slice of modern country music, and life, and we’re pleased to premiere Still A Little Country Left.
