Unless you slept through the 2019 Newport Folk Festival, you could feel the buzz leading up to The Highwomen’s set at the quad stage on Friday afternoon. Made up of Brandi Carlile, Amanda Shires, Maren Morris, and Natalie Hemby (with special guest Yola), this group of badass ladies have started a band AND a movement. Count me in.
