Life on the road is hard. Â As the glass of water metaphor describes, though, optimists and pessimists see that challenge differently. Â You can put Ted Russell Kamp firmly in the former. Â Between his own performances and as a long-time member of Shooter Jennings’ band, Kamp gets double the opportunity to travel. Â On his latest record, Walkin’ Shoes, he opens with an ode to seeing the bright side of it called Home Away From Home.
The song itself, as you’ll see, is a honky-tonk kind of number with Ted’s bass laying down a walking-down-the-road tempo that just sort of dares you to try to sit quietly in your chair. Â We’re pleased as all get-out to be premiering the video on Twangville. Â Get up and enjoy Home Away From Home.
