Hittin’ the Road with Johnny Chops – a Special Premiere

Wednesday, March 27, 2019 By Mayer Danzig

This isn’t your normal travelogue. Singer-songwriter Johnny Chops and his wife spent two weeks last summer on a road trip from Austin, TX to Southern California and back. Ostensibly the drive was a Chops solo acoustic tour. The video footage that they took along the way, however, paints a romantic picture of life on the road and the time that they spent together. The compiled footage is a fitting accompaniment for “When It Comes To You,” his enchanting love song to her that is featured on Johnny Chops & the Razors, his latest album.

The real stars, scene stealers really, of the video are Emmylou and Reggie, the couple’s affable basset hounds. The duo make the most of their screen time with impeccable comedic flair. It’s perhaps not surprising that they have their own Instagram page.

Twangville is pleased to premiere the video for “When It Comes to You”. Happy Anniversary Andy and Johnny.
