Monday Morning Video – A Larkin Poe Video Jukebox

Monday, November 05, 2018 By Mayer Danzig

Larkin Poe passed through Dallas last night and served up a fiery performance of blues-based rock and roll. The group is on the verge of releasing a new album – Venom & Faith – this Friday. They previewed several songs from said album along with some choice covers.

And speaking of covers, the group has been regularly exploring the rock canon through a series of home videos. Here are a few favorites from the collection, including Rod Stewart’s “Maggie May”, the Beatles’ “Day Tripper”, The Band’s “Ophelia”, Bob Seger’s “Rock and Roll Never Forgets”, The Black Crowes’ “Hard to Handle” and Tom Petty’s “Wildflowers”.
