Monday Morning Video – Brent Best and Matthew Ryan

Monday, October 08, 2018 By Mayer Danzig

There’s something special about seeing artists share a stage for a song swap. It becomes all the more magical when the artists are clearly enjoying themselves as much – if not more – than the audience in attendance.

Such was the case when Twangville brought together Brent Best and Matthew Ryan for a special house concert in Dallas last week. Stories were swapped, life perspectives were shared and, best of all, beautiful songs were performed.

While we don’t have video from the house show to share, here are two of the stand-out songs that captivated the crowd that day – Best’s heart-wrenching “Robert Cole” (from 2016’s Your Dog, Champ) and Ryan’s sublime “Hustle Up Starlings” (from 2017’s Hustle Up Starlings).
