Sometimes you go to a restaurant you’ve never been to so you can order their homemade biscuits.  It’s still comfort food, but with a little variety over your normal routine.  That’s the analogy I’m going to use for the soon-to-be-released album from Virginia native Sarah White.  High Flyer has the folk and country and Americana sound we all know and love, but between the blues tinged voice of White and the production from Stewart Myers, there’s a subtlety to the sound that’s refreshing.
The first single from the record is Carry Me Over. Â It takes a pretty existential topic–the mind not being bound by the body–and turns it into a catchy number that gets you singing along even if you haven’t figured out any of life’s deeper questions. Â In short, a perfect start to the beginning of summer. Â We’re pleased to be able to premiere that song for you. Â So here’s Carry Me Over.
