Some of the best music coming out of Nashville these days is from artists who have trouble really connecting with Nashville. Â The collection of Americana talent there is tremendous, and you can find a lot of empathetic soul mates. Â But it just never seems like home. Â That’s the situation with Santa Fe artist Coco O’Connor. Â She’s done her time working Music Row, but the mesas and hues of New Mexico are more her style than the green and hills of middle Tennessee. Â So she’s chosen to split her time between them. Â We’re the beneficiaries of that bi-polar situation with her new EP This Ol’ War.
The title track is a country classic about relationships, especially between couples that have been together a long time.  As O’Connor sings about how the arguments seem to always be the same, you realize it can apply to virtually any kind of relationship where the years have bred a certain perspective that’s hard to shake.  It’s our sincere pleasure to debut this track on Twangville.  So enjoy This Ol’ War.
