Erica Blinn Keeps on Truckin’ (A Video Premiere)

Thursday, April 19, 2018 By Mayer Danzig

It is perhaps not surprising that the road is a frequent topic for musicians, certainly those that spend many of their days hauling their gear from town to town. The title of this song certainly suggests that it is the focus here. The lyrics, however, veer in a different direction. As Blinn explains:

“Suitcases and Truck Stops” is a song about being restless, in a way, and about the coming and going of friendships/relationships and how hard it is to maintain them when you’re not around to spend time with people. There’s a feeling of wanting to be on the road even though it’s sort of an inconvenient lifestyle. It’s always nice to come home but once you get there you start thinking about the next time you get to leave. It’s also a little bit about how you only get one life so you should use it to do what makes you happy.

Enjoy the premiere of Erica Blinn‘s “Suitcases and Truck Stops” from her recently released Better Than Gold.
