Austin musician Jeff Bryant is one of those guys you’ve probably seen a lot, playing keyboard for a number of high profile bands in town, but not necessarily heard. Â All his talented friends finally convinced him to do a record on his own and he released Sleeping With the Lights On earlier this year. Â It’s more of a pop sound than most of the Twangville playlist, but Bryant has added some funk and acoustic guitar that drags it back closer to its roots.
He just released the first video from the EP. Addie has a jazz-influenced beat, and if you want to hear how rap can influence country, there’s a touch of that in here, too. Â Plus, the video itself has a fun twist at the end.
