Monday Morning Video – A Double Dose of Beach Slang

Monday, May 23, 2016 By Mayer Danzig

Beach Slang, a Philadelphia rock band (apparently with some Rhode Island roots), passed through Boston last week and put on one hell of a show. The quartet unleashed a fury of guitars and attitude, much to the crowds delight. The set list was a moving target in the best way. Plenty of band originals, along with raucous covers of the Replacements, Jawbreaker, the Cure and Rick Springfield.

The band said that they’re headed into the studio to record a new album planned for a fall release. In the meantime, let’s revel in a pair of videos — “Bad Art & Weirdo Ideas” from their 2015 release The Things We Do To Find People Who Feel Like Us and their bruising take on the Replacements’ “Bastards of Young.”
