Win Big: Van Morrison’s Moondance

Thursday, November 07, 2013 By Mayer Danzig

Van Morrison
The mere mention of Van Morrison’s name can spark a healthy debate as to which of his many albums is the most influential. Among the many that will undoubtedly be mentioned, I’m sure that Moondance would figure strongly in the discussion.

Warner Brothers Records has just released a re-mastered version of the legendary album. Even better, it is accompanied by a plethora of bonus material. The set features numerous alternate versions of the songs that ultimately made the album, including several extended jams that showcase the band exploring the songs. The extras provide some fascinating insight into the recording process.

Want to win a copy of the 2-disc deluxe edition? To be eligible to win, post a comment and tell us your favorite Van Morrison album. A winner will be selected at random when the contest ends on Wednesday, 13 November 2013 at midnight ET.**

To get you in the mood, here’s some vintage Van performing “Caravan” back in 1973.

**By participating in Twangville contests you agree to allow Twangville to post the winner’s name and city on our web site. We pass along the winning addresses to the record company or appropriate party for fulfillment. Twangville will not use your address for any other reason. Contest open to US residents.
