Monday Morning Video — a Premiere from Don DiLego

Monday, November 04, 2013 By Mayer Danzig

Yeah, I know that seeing a musician play in a bar is fairly commonplace. There’s something special about this video, however.

NYC songwriter Don DiLego spent an afternoon sitting at an East Village bar with his guitar in hand. The feel of the room matches the melancholy of his song “Midnight Train,” taken from last year’s excellent Western and Atlantic ep.

DiLego is on a bit of a roll, having recently won the 2012 Root/EP Album of the Year award at the Independent Music Awards. Rumor has it that he has been working on some new material as well as helping his friend Jesse Malin record a new album.

Check out more One on One Sessions here or visit our friends at Ryan’s Smashing Life to see some cool One on One Sessions videos from the recent CMJ Music Conference.
