This post continues our series about music that serves a higher purpose. Beyond pure listening enjoyment, these releases raise awareness about important issues that impact countless people in their day-to-day lives.
Our friends at Country Fried Rock have just released an awesome new compilation. The release supports Nuci’s Space, a not-for-profit that provides mental health counseling to musician’s who might not otherwise receive it. We’ve lost too many talented people for the wrong reasons so it is great to have an organization committed to supporting musicians who need assistance.
And the release itself? It’s chock full of great tunes that live up to the Country Fried Rock name, most of which are previously unreleased. Several artists that we recently highlighted in our Muscle Shoals series make appearances: Doc Dailey and Magnolia Devil, the Pollies and Belle Adaire. Other faves from the collection include Michelle Malone, Centro-matic and Drivin N Cryin. Twenty tracks, no filler.
For $5 (or more if you want to be more generous in supporting Nuci’s Space), this is a steal. Get it here.
