Monday Morning Video: Amy Black and Ward Hayden

Monday, September 02, 2013 By Mayer Danzig

If one considers this video alongside this video that I posted a few weeks back, one might get the impression that Amy Black and Ward Hayden (of Girls Guns and Glory) like to sit around their houses playing songs.  Come to think of it, that doesn’t sound so bad.

Well, apparently they don’t just sit around singin’.  Black has a show in Boston on 14 Sept (tix here; she is followed by a separate late show with Boy Thayer & Perfect Trainwreck making for a fine night of music). Girls Guns and Glory are touring throughout the fall (details here).

In the meantime, here are Black and Hayden singing the Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty classic “After the Fire is Gone” in what appears to be Hayden’s living room.
