Monday Morning Video: Sittin’ Around the Kitchen Singin’ George Jones

Monday, July 15, 2013 By Mayer Danzig

There’s a cool house concert series in Boston called the Kitchen Sessions. Well, Ward Hayden of Girls Guns & Glory, Amy Black and Sarah Borges stake their claim on that particular room with this killer cover of George Jones’ “Why Baby Why.” The trio, rehearsing for an upcoming set of shows that they are doing together, recorded it in an actual kitchen. Show details are at the end of the video.

Black describes it as “3 singers, 1 baby, 1 dog, 1 HOT day and 1 classic song.” I’ll add “fantastic performance” to that description. Watch to the end and you’ll see that baby Elliot agrees with me.
