Marking our 5th year in existence, it’s that time again when we say thanks to all those who have made Twangville possible. Our mission has always been to share our love for music you don’t often hear in the mainstream – Alt-country, Americana, Folk, Rock & Blues. We’ll soon start sharing our favorites of the year. In the meantime, join us in raising a glass to these fine people:
- The Artists: If not for hardworking, tireless musicians we’d have nothing to write about. These musicians work day and night travelling all over to bring us audible joy and happiness. Most of the time these artists perform because they love what they do. We owe them so much.
- The Reviewers: Todd, Chip, Kelly, Eli, Shawn, and Jeff who have volunteered their time to share their thoughts with everyone who reads this blog. Special thanks to Mayer, the hardest working of us all. Like the artists, without these guys Twangville would be nothing.
- The Readers: We now have 500+ followers on both Twitter and Facebook. It feels great to know that people care enough about what we’re doing to tune in this way. Keep voting in our weekly polls and commenting on our posts. We love it!
- Advertisers: Twangville has never been about making money. We do this because of a shared passion for good music. That said, being able to cover the costs of registration, hosting, legal fees, and taxes has been of great help. This year we reduced the amount of ads while increasing the quality (we hope) of ads displayed.
- The Promoters: It’s true. We need help finding the best of the best. We may not always respond directly to our promoters but we’re always in tune with the suggestions that come our way.
- Reviewshine: Our go-to place to discover new music. We can’t listen to everything but this earth-friendly way of getting music to us has been heaven sent. More artists and promoters should start using it.
Last, and perhaps most importantly, thanks to all the behind-the-scenes supporters. For me, this is my wife who puts up with me putting in long hours at my day job and still allows me to have fun with this thing we call Twangville. Peace and blessings to everyone this Thanksgiving.
Thank you again 5 amazing years. We hope you’ll join us again this year.
