Win Big! A Dar Williams Give-Away

Wednesday, October 22, 2008 By Mayer Danzig

Dar WilliamsDar Williams cranks it up a notch on Promised Land, her latest release. Returning from a three year recording hiatus Williams transforms her folk roots into a more pop-oriented sound. Lead-off track “It’s Alright” is a great example: a happy-go-lucky melody highlighted by William’s bright lyrics and gentle voice. As if to prove the point, Williams covers poppers-extraordinaire Fountains of Wayne’s “Troubled Times.”

To celebrate the new release, Twangville is giving away a copy of the cd and a limited edition lithograph of the album cover art. In the spirit of the season, post a comment with your favorite Halloween costume to be eligible to win. A winner will be selected at random when the contest ends on Thursday, 10/30/08 at midnight ET.**

For more information on Dar Williams and to subscribe to her “Dar-List” email, visit her web site.
