Its that time of year again. The ole SXSW Festival is right around the corner and if you’re like me, you’ve been checking out the songs posted by bands that will be in the great town of Austin, TX during the second week of March. I’ll be sharing some songs from bands that have made them available organized by night. Here’s a preview of Wednesday night which includes such highlights as the No Depression Showcase hosted by the folks at the magazine who recently announced they’re dropping their print division moving their focus to online only. The showcase will be held at Pangea (409 Colorado St) and will include Bruce Robison, Bonnie Bramlett, Daniel Lanois, Blue Mountain and the Felice Brothers.
On a side note, Twangville authors Mayer, Kelly, John and myself will be attending the conference. Keep an eye out for us and be sure and say hello. I’ll be there on Wednesday and Thursday night before skipping town.
