It wasn’t that long ago that we opened our gates to find some folks that were as passionate about alt-country, americana, rock and folk music as we are. The experiment netted a ton of registrations from all over the world and several contributors emerged from those. More importantly, we gained a couple of regular contributors who I’m now happy to say will be joining us officially as promised when we opened the town gates. Please join us in welcoming Todd Mathis of Cayce, SC and Chip Frazier of Birmingham, AL to the Posse. Twangville is better with y’all in it and I’m as thrilled as I can possibly be to have you aboard. Of course, I have to thank Mayer, Mike and Sarah for helping along the way. Twangville wouldn’t exist without you all and because of you, my knowledge of music has expanded beyond anything I could ever expect. I’m truly grateful and Twangville is better off with you as part of it.
Now let me also take a moment to thank the many, many musicians, promoters, labels, fans, bloggers and podcasters that have stopped by in our nearly 3 year existence. More importantly, thanks to each one of you readers that found us and thought enough to come back. Its been a blast so far and as long as you keep coming we’ll keep things going here. And of course, I can’t go without thanking my wife and family who humor me by letting me keep doing this.
Last, we’re gonna keep the registrations open for a little while longer. So if you’re interested in contributing here’s the low down. I may have to do some housekeeping soon to keep the spammers (boneheads) out. But for now, keeping the doors open is worth it enough to tolerate the nuisance. That being said, I don’t think we can keep it open forever. If you’re serious, let’s get twangin’!
Its been a blast y’all. Keep the twang alive, not the turkeys! (my apologies to our vegetarian friends)
Happy Thanksgiving!
