Indulge me, I beg of you. Music City Florida is a local Tampa radio show that bills itself as “the largest chunk of radio airtime dedicated to Florida music in the whole world.” Florida’s music scene has got plenty of bragging to do, and these guys are on top of it. All genres, signed and unsigned, they let you know who’s playing when and where, who has new albums coming out, who’s auditioning and what’s going in in all aspects of the Florida music scene. In the 5 short weeks these kids have been on the air I’ve found an obscene number of great new artists. The best part? You don’t have to be from Florida to love on our scene. You can listen to Music City Florida online (Thursday nights from midnight to two, and if you’re in the area it’s available on WTAN AM 1340), and almost every band they play has a website that they make sure you can get to. You can also download their show as a podcast on iTunes. If nothing else, check out their website. You’ll find some fun new stuff, especially if you’re from the area, and if you’re not, I’ll bet you money you’ll find yourself wishing you had a show like this.
