When I found out the Gin Blossoms were releasing their first new album since 1997 I was intrigued but my expectations were quite low. Bands just don’t come back after all that time and sound like they used to. Excuse me while I pull my shoe out of my mouth… on first listen this album is fantastic. They sound like they’ve never skipped a beat. If you liked them back then, stop reading this post and move right to hearing the full album stream below.
A couple of other albums also deserve mention this week. Definitely check out Todd Snider’s The Devil You Know whose song of the same name earns our MySpace “song of the week” honors and Carey Ott’s Lucid Dream which has been a top download on eMusic for weeks. Also check out Bernard Fanning, who I’ve never heard of but his song called “Songbird” has already received several listens from me.
As always, check out our Release Calendar to sell all new releases from this week.
