Allison Moorer & More, Album Previews

Monday, June 12, 2006 By Tom Osborne

allison moorer album coverHere’s a sampling of what I’ll be checking out this week. Its great to see Sonic Youth still at it after all this time and you just gotta love the Delta-blues from Keb Mo. Keep Donavon Frankenreiter on your radar. He’s yet another surfer-turned-musician to enter the scene bringing acoustic rhythms with a touch of 70’s soul. If you only have time to listen to one album, check out Allison Moorer’s Getting Somewhere. I know I’ve been waiting for this for some time now.

  • Allison Moorer, Getting Somewhere (AOL Music)
  • Sonic Youth, Rather Ripped (AOL Music)
  • The Replacements, Don’t You Know Who I Think I Was: The Best of the Replacements (AOL Music)
  • Keb Mo, Suitcase (AOL Music)
  • Regina Spektor, Begin to Hope (AOL Music)
  • Donavon Frakenreiter, Move by Yourself (AOL Music)
