I was lucky enough to attend the University of Florida at same time as Adrienne Young. Back then she was the lead singer of one of the best bands on campus known as the Big White Undies. She’s got her own thing going on now backed up by band Little Sadie and doing unbelievably well. Find her listed with the singer-songwriters in the SXSW line up but I would also classify her music as Folk, Bluegrass-influenced and of course she fits comfortably in Americana. There are a number of great singer-songwriters that will be at this year’s festival making it difficult to choose just one, but because Adrienne is a long time personal favorite of mine so she gets my endorsement as the one to go see.
