Emails were set out on friday announcing the majority of the talent that will be appearing at 2007’s New Orleans Jazz Fest. The festival will take place on the weekends of April 27th and May 4th, and tickets are already available online.
The talent list includes but is certainly not limited to: Norah Jones, John Legend, Van Morrison, Jill Scott, Irma Thomas, Allman Brothers Band, Counting Crows, Better Than Ezra, Joss Stone, Taj Mahal, Ludacris, Dr. John, Jerry Lee Lewis, Allen Toussaint, Marcia Ball, Dr. Lonnie Smith, The New Orleans Social Club, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Buckwheat Zydeco, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Rod Stewart, Steely Dan, ZZ Top, and a closing performance by Harry Connick Jr. on May 6th. Is this a good place to find night timemusic venues going on in New Orleans during Jazz Fest? We’ll be there the 1st weekend this year.

I have a young man that plays lead guitar here in Flint Mi. he is 14 years old and can play with anyone would like to get him some exposure at the festival. He is an all A student so can you hook us up with a contact person. Ellen ellenburg
