A personal favorite artist of mine ever since my cousin Ken mentioned him to me back in 2003, Josh Rouse released a new EP this week. This time as a duo. He’s partnered up with Spanish native, Paz Suay, who’s smooth vocals you might recognize from his last album, Subtitulo. The new EP is aptly titled She’s Spanish, I’m American and features 5 songs casually, but deliciously composed by Rouse and Suay. The songs veer more toward the alt-pop and jazz side of Rouse rather than the hint of twang sound found on Nashville. Frankly, Josh Rouse sounds good no matter what style he plays in. Having Paz Suay join him on this side project shows that he’s having fun while residing across the pond in Valencia, Spain.

The album is out on Rouse’s own imprint label, Bedroom Classics through Nettwerk Music Group. To purchase the She’s Spanish, I’m American EP, go to eMusic or the Nettwerk Store.
