Twangville Loves…

Today marks the last day for voting for the 2006 Weblog Awards also known as the “Bloggies”. We were stunned when we found out that we were a finalist and humbled when we saw with whom we shared company. Twangville is a mere fledgling amongst the competition. We currently stand in 7th place. Not too shabby considering we were shocked to be nominated in the first place. For those who have voted for us, thank you so much for your kind support. If you haven’t voted, you still have one last chance. We’d love your vote but if there’s some one else you like, go for it. Here’s a few of the nominees for Best Music Blog that I think are pretty spectacular:

Of course to have been a finalist you had to have been nominated in the first place. Here’s a few kickin’ music blogs I wish were nominated and I hope get nominated next year:

And of course, I can’t end it there. There’s a ton of other great blogs out there on the interweb. Here’s a few that have been pals to us along the way, that we consider friends or are just pretty gosh darn swell.

Oh, and by the way if you’re in there voting for Best Music Blog, maybe show some more love to some of our friends. Mr. Irrelevant is up for Best Sports Blog and TMZ is up for Best Blog.

Lastly, I’d love to hear some of your favorite music blogs. Feel free to share.

Hey Tom, I just discovered your site the other day through the Weblog Awards and thought it was pretty awesome. I subscribed to your feed to stay up to date with your writing.

Anyways, I just started a music blog with my brother and sister, The 9513, that might be worth checking out (shameless self-promotion).

Thanks for the mention! In addition to all those mentioned above, I like Big Rock Candy Mountain (http://www.bigrockcandymountain.blogspot.com/) especially the recent Christmas posts.

Thanks for the love. I’d second Big Rock Candy Mountain and also add Old Blue Bus as good recomendations for audioblogs of twang interest.
