Monday Morning Video – Christopher Paul Stelling

Monday, October 19, 2015 By Mayer Danzig

Chances are that you’ve never heard folk classic “Sixteen Tons” quite like this. The legendary song paints a grim picture of life working in the coal mines back in the early and mid 20th century. Christopher Paul Stelling takes an already somber song and gives it a haunting edge.

Here he pairs it with his own brilliant “Hard Work,” a song that speaks to a different kind of work – the effort required to approach life with a positive attitude.

About the author:  Mild-mannered corporate executive by day, excitable Twangville denizen by night.
