Best Alternative Songs of 2005

While my taste in music has gone decidedly Americana, I still consider Alternative the root of my interest in song. That being said, I’m not going to go into detail on why I like these but I did want to list some of my favorite alternative songs from 2005. (listed in no particular order)

Playlist also available on iTunes.

[…] Their song “Marvelous Things” made my Top Alternative Songs back in 2005. Eisley is one of the best alternative bands to come out in recent years. To celebrate this week’s release of their new album Combinations and their acoustic tour we’re participating in a contest to give you the chance to win an Epiphone acoustic guitar. How sweet is that!? Just follow the link and sign up to participate. […]

Nice song choice — if you’re 12 and retarded. The artists are good, but the songs suck sooo hard you can’t imagine a more sucky playlist.

“real” didn’t get enough hugs from mommy. Pretty good picks. Bloc Party’s album was my favorite of that whole year.
