 I feel so incredibly lucky that I had the opportunity to photograph Levon Helm at the Life is Good music festival last year. It was hard to believe that I was standing in a photo pit with thousands of people behind me, just a few feet away from this legend. Due to his voice being impacted by throat cancer, Levon did not sing much (just one verse of “The Weight”) but he dazzled the crowd with his smile and presence. This was certainly an unforgettable experience.
